CyberLynk Network, Inc. announces full support for the
new 56K V.90 modem standard.
RACINE, WI, June 4, 1998 -- Racine Wisconsin based Wisconsin CyberLynk Network, Inc. announced today that they have upgraded their points of presence in Racine, Kenosha, and Milwaukee to support the recently established 56K V.90 standard as well as the Rockwell/Lucent K56Flex standard. This new standard has been accepted by all modem manufacturers, and puts to rest the battle between the US Robotics/3COM X2 56K standard and the Rockwell/Lucent K56Flex standard. All modem manufacturers will be providing an upgrade path to this new standard.What this new standard means to CyberLynk customers is speeds much faster than traditional modems. CyberLynk waited for the final release of the software to assure a smooth transition for its large customer base. They also conducted their own rigorous testing to be assured they could provide this service at the same level of quality as the rest of their family of services. Customers with X2 modems that have been upgraded to the new V.90 standard and customers with existing K56Flex modems have experienced excellent performance.
